revelation.
i woke up this morning, waited for the toilet to be available. i sat next to the dining table and checked on my box of ferrero rocher that i brought for everyone living at #05-91. there was a piece of torn foolscap paper on the box and it was from mr. ranjeet, our landlord, saying that he had received our february rental fees of $2300.
at first i really thought i didn't see properly because i just woke up not long ago and i might have been having double vision. i scrutinised the insignificant-looking sheet of paper and confirmed that everything i read was true. indeed, $2300.
i was really puzzled. we all agreed on $2500 per month, $1000 for my room, $1200 for master bedroom with attached bathroom and $300 for another smaller room.
i'm conned, i thought.
